The Frieston Big Dig, 24th Nov 2015

Picture
On the 24th November 2015, 24 brave volunteers helped with the Freiston Big Dig. Many thanks to all those volunteers who braved the miserable weather and for the Lincs Heritage Trust and National Lottery for support with the training and the event.

We collected pots, tiles and all sorts of artefacts and completed a geophysical survey of a field opposite the church.

We found a whole time line of unknown history, including the Romans, Anglo Saxons, Medieval, Tudor and more recent pottery.

A huge thanks to those who helped and you can access the full report on the attached link
